Ok, here's the situation:
I have a movie file in AVI format with a subtitle file in SRT format and the subtitles work 100% perfectly, but unfortunately they are in foreign language.
Then I have another subtitle file also in SRT format that's in correct language but it's totally out of sync and in different framerate and with all sorts of problems. I tried syncing it with Subtitle Workshop, but after 5 hours of syncing I gave up. Either the middle of the movie is out of sync or the end or both.
But both the subtitle files have exactly 447 lines of text. So would it be possible to somehow automatically take the timings from the first subtitle for each line and place these timings into the second subtitle file? I tried to find this option in Subtitle Workshop and in TimeAdjuster, but just couldn't find it.
Is there some way to do it automatically (instead of manually copying and pasting every single line with notepad which is a very frustrating process)?
Sounds extremely simple in theory, but I just can't find the correct option.
/Edit: Ok, I already found it.
In Subtitle Workshop:
Menu -> Edit -> Timings -> Read Timings from File
