I have plenty of memory, 6GB. Everything is closed. Vegas is the only thing really using any memory.

I've been rendering 720p video for the past couple of weeks fine, but now today it won't. I have a quad core CPU as well, even though that shouldn't be the problem.

    I'm using Vegas Pro 32bit on Windows 7 64bit.

I've never seen that warning in Vegas, but in other programs it translates to disk space including the tmp disk which absorbs huge decompressions.

You shouldn't have the tmp file disk (Adobe calls this the swap file) on the C: drive anyway but it is easy to forget which drive is recording your tmp files.

Does this message appear when the screen saver comes on?

  5. I've experienced this issue before as well when trying to render 1080p files with my Vegas Pro 9. One workaround was to click on "network render" (even though you are using only one computer). To the best of my knowledge, this is how I was able to get around the problem, but it has been several months since I've seen it. I found a thread on creativecow months ago through a google search. If I can find the post, I'll link to it.

One of the suggestions by someone was to render using Network rendering although there is only one computer I will use.

Also will it make a difference if I render to my RAID 0 array that's 1% full as opposed to the OS drive which is about 70% full that I was already rendering to?

The TMP "Pre-rendered files folder" on the new project page should be moved to a folder on your RAID. I just call the folder "Vegas TMP".

You will find this speeds up Vegas greatly to get the TMP folder off the OS drive.

This may or may not solve the "memory" issue.
