Hey everyone!
I'm recording videos on YouTube and ever since I bought a ring light I've been experiencing issues with constantly changing exposure in my footage. I noticed it basically depends on how I move in front of camera. It's enough that I raise a hand and the footage dims or if I swivel to the right then the overexposure hits me very hard. It's quite annoying as my camera is in manual focus mode and fixed ISO. Maybe it's the issue with the black background behind me? I'm completely lost.
Here is an example (I could find tens of them throughout the video):

Watch it for literally as little as 20-25 seconds and you will notice the exposure going crazy from under-exposured to over-exposured back and forth. Especially you can notice a huge difference between 1:31 and 1:33.
This video is from a couple of weeks ago, but I've just shoot another one, which behaves exactly the same or worse. Every cut has a different exposure making the whole thing painful to watch (at least to me).
My camera is Lumix G7 with 25 mm prime.
Any tips appreciated.

Turn off the auto-exposure feature and set the exposure manually.

+1.
If for some reason you still need to use auto-exposure, some cameras have a response time setting that slows down the "hunting" that you get when, for instance, someone with a white shirt walks in front of the camera.
High-end cameras also have settings that will limit the area of the frame used for the exposure. This can help in some situations.
However, the professional way to set exposure (and white balance, and focus, and sound, and ...) is to set them ALL manually. You will always get the best results and have the fewest surprises. Of course for "run and gun" video shooting, sometimes too many variable are changing at once, so you have to set some or all of these things to automatic and just accept the inevitable "auto screwups."
