    3.3.7.03 Feedback 2

    NEW: Cut page usage
The Preview is playing the last cut. Which is a good function.
But instead of "Clear all cut marks" a "Clear last cut" would make more sense.
As it will keep all good cuts you have checked before and only delete the last one (the one you can preview) if it is a bad one.
Each click will delete the "new/next" last cut, till all cuts have been deleted.
You can also clear all cut marks at once by closing the page and get back.

    ---

Question about a change in 3.3.7 for: No drag & drop in batch grid with more than 1 entry.
I for example had no problems while testing. You can change Batch 0 with "Swap tasks" and take over Batch 0, and that as often you like.

The Stream Cut Batch Tasks might be blocked from take over Batch 0!

Interesting idea; i have blocked this so far to prevent too many mistakes. But I can change that.

The Stream Cut Batch Tasks might be blocked from take over Batch 0!
If batch 0 is a stream cut, I will prevent drag & drop.

    3.3.7.04 Feedback

"Delete last cut mark" works as expected!
Drag & drop is blocked if batch 0 is a stream cut!
Switching Batch 0 replication is working!
Join plus Insert chapters is working with uppercase extensions!

    Many thanks for the changes

    ---

Could you please show/add a "Clear files" button to the join page when joining files, like the "Clear cuts" button when you join cuts!

    ---

Is there a reason why the preview video in Chapters is always 720?

    Audio encoding page behavior:

When the source has 30 or 60 fps, the lenght & pitch preset show 23,976 -> 25/24
    I wouldn't expect that/a preset here!

    ---

It would be good to show the source fps & bitrate somewhere at the page!
Especially when it's not the usual for movies.

    ---

What about this gui change or similar?

This is intentional, as the vast majority of audiotracks of 29.97, 30, 60 fps videos come unchanged from a 23.976 fps source. The custom setting is available for the others.

I can move the checkbox, but there is no space available for the text.

If four or five decimal places aren't enough, it might be better to leave the checkbox where it is and write "Calculator" in front of it.

    ---

Is it possible to warn (red or yellow background/text color) if the chosen frequency/bitrate is higher than the source value?
Because higher values increase the file size and not so the quality.

    ---

At the drop down for Frequency I would expect higher values when you click up and not down. Like for Fade.

There isn't enough space for it. I'll move the checkbox above for esthetic reasons only.
    But the tooltip shows calculator.

I don't think that's necessary. If someone changes the frequency, they know what they are doing.

    You're right, will change this.

The Presets are ok but it is restricting the freedom, it is now much more difficult to do custom manipulation by only allowing the Factor. It was so easy and convenient being able to alter the Source or Target FPS to achieve the new duration time I desired. I don't want use a calculator to work out the needed factor please.
I changed this for a good reason, because the previous function also implies errors.
This starts with your example, in which you change from 29.97 fps to 24.33 fps without considering that the audio stream of a 29.97 video actually comes from a 23.976 fps video and was taken over unchanged.
Your setting would therefore result in an incorrect audio length.
But be that as it may, I will provide a calculator in the custom setting as before.

Thank you very much for indulging me.

Anyway I really appreciate that you have changed the custom for me so I can manipulate the FROM and TO fps instead of only the factor. It is really the same thing but I find the fps easier since the fps is my starting point when coming from media Tab/info it does not give you the factor. You are also very lucky if you can do a straight fps conversion and things match, never works for my movie cases. They always need extra stretching or shrinking or extensive audacity editing, these are old and rare movies.

I know what it takes to match audio and what a complicated topic it is, but I don't want to loose one of my tools in my arsenal.
I can match any english audio to any russian movie no matter what version or how different they are, I hate reading subtitles. I don't know why the russians always have good video versions with terrible overdubbing and the available English versions are so terrible, why cant they just store separate channels one can delete.

    Thanks again.

    Okay!
Custom values will get the "Length only, Length & pitch, Pitch only" settings too?

You use the following code for:

    Okay.

Channels, Bitrate, Frequency and Container keep it's settings after close and reopening.
So when you work with different mono, stereo and 5.1 files and want to change only the encoder, you always have to change Channels, Bitrate and Frequency manually, like the original. You have to remember all of that.

What about the idea to add a button to the Audio or Audio encoding page to import that values from the selected source stream?

In the first versions, the values of the source audio were adopted.
In my daily work with it, I have found that I usually use the same settings for encoder, channels, bitrate and frequency.
Hence the change to use the last settings. I leave it like this.

Sure! It remains as it is.
Adopting the source values would be an addition for the ones how need it.
In ancient movies there are a wide variety of audio settings far from today's standard.

It would be helpful when changing the frame size.
Especially when the frame size is not exactly HD, FHD, QHD or UHD.
Changes to the frame width will automatically adjust the height and vice versa.

It could look like that for example:

I will add a checkbox. If checked, the height is calculated from the width based on the source DAR.

This is because ffmpeg has no bitstream filter to change the aspect ratio for the vp9 codec.
If your Samsung doesn't respect the container DAR Info, you have to recode the video.

Because there is no reason to keep these entries when you leave the grid.
They can be added again at any time.

    BTW
I will re-deselect all remaining streams by default after muxing.
I have noticed that when selecting streams for the next mux, it is easier to make mistakes with many streams if all streams are checked than if you consciously select them.

    Sure!
Please remember that when you open Multiplex for the first time, all streams are checked. And after muxing there are fewer streams left. If you click on None, everything is unmarked. It just looks strange when all the functions below are gone.
It would be enough if the remaining stream 0 and 1 were checked to display the functions. This is intended to help inexperienced users. I personally don't need that.
But first do as you think

I have just amplified the audio track of 18 episodes of a series with DynAudNorm and processed them in batch. I then had to add 17 episodes for muxing (because of the video stream), which results in 54 streams, two of which are muxed and then deleted. That means 18 x unnecessary clicks on none.

    Understand!
Can a Batch 0 for Multiplex speed things up like this?

    ---

    FFplay Player controls is fixed.
Merge buttons "clear adde files" and "clear cuts" works.
New "Remove LCM" button looks good and formatting also.
I'm not sure if that formatting would be good for the junks in the join table?

    ---

Keep aspect ratio works good. This is realy helpfull.

Are there rounding errors? See your values in brackets.

    UHD 3840x2160 (2158)
    QHD 2560x1440 (1438)
    FHD 1920x1080 (1078)
    HD 1280x720 (okay)
